More and more IMAX theaters are being built. IMAX stands for Image MAXimum. The traditional version of an IMAX theater has the capacity to record and display images of a greater size and resolution. There are different types of IMAX theaters which include IMAX Dome (using a tilted dome screen), IMAX 3D and IMAX Digital. These theaters are being built all around the world. The top Picture is the IMAX Dome, the second is IMAX Digital, and the last picture is IMAX3D.
Wow, those pictures are great. I've never been to an IMax theater, but couldn't imagine sitting in front of a screen that big. You would definitely have to sit as far back from the screen as possible, because I wonder how you would be able to see the whole screen. Are you missing something by looking in one small area of the screen.
ReplyDeleteI have never been to an IMax theater either but it would be really cool to experince those wonderful pictures. It seems you can't miss any details with a movie. And by the picture I see above it looks like scary movies can be very exciting to watch.
ReplyDeleteI am dying to go to an IMAX theater. It seems like it would be really cool and something much different than just going to see a plain movie. It seems like it would make you feel as if you were apart of the movie.
ReplyDeleteIMAX theaters are awesome, my favorite is the IMAX dome, it makes you feel like your involved in whatever is playing. I remember getting super excited to go to the franklin institute when I was little simply because we got to see and IMAX video (although they were educational, they were still awesome)
ReplyDeletei love imax theaters. I wish they had more like the one at the franklin institute. that is a real imax theater. The one at King of prussia mall is still definatley alot better then regular movie theater screens, but i wish they had one like the big dome one at the franklin institute that played everyday movies.
