  1. That was a great video. The jumbo-tron is a great device for people who want to make a fool out of themselves in front of thousands of people. That guy's dancing was pretty good but have you ever gone to any flyers games? There is a guy sitting in the highest row possible that dances like a mad man every time there is music on. They even call him "the dancing guy". There are videos on youtube check it out.

  2. I remember as a kid I always wanted to be shown on that at sporting games, but never had a chance. I love seeing the people who are dancing like idiots. Sometimes the jumbotron is more interesting than the game is!

  3. The jumbo-tron is the best! I always hope to get spoted to be on it! It's a great way to get the crowd going with excitement. For some reason we all think its a huge deal to get on the stadium camera!

  4. The jumbo-tron is great. This is a chance for the average Joe to get his/her 5 minutes of fame. Judging from this example it can also find some hidden talent out there. Jumbo-tron is a part of sports that will always continue.

  5. We had a simlar post in our blog to this one about the audio and visual technology in sports stadiums to complete the experience. Very interesting hearing about the Sony Jumbotron and the Vmagic even though they are some funny names for television screens. I did research on the "videocube" which you see in many hockey rinks and also soccer stadiums.

  6. What a great 15 minutes of fame! This was like watching those air guitar solo competitions. Here is the problem with jumbotrons at concerts. If I have to watch one of those at a concert because I am too far back to see the actually artist, I should be there.

  7. If anyone goes to Flyers games, there is always a man dancing there, he’s like the unofficial entertainer between the periods of play. He does something very similar to this, and id say her pretty well knows to all who go to the games regularly.

  10. I was always amazed by these things, and I saw a video recently of how they are made and it was quite simple (yet complex at the same time). Phanavision has played a big role in my memories of going to the ball park on sunny afternoons.
