There has been so many game systems throughout the years. Everytime a new one comes out its hard to think what will they come out with next. This is a video of different ideas of future game systems.

Nintendo On??? Wow, that's a new one. It looked cool, though.
ReplyDeleteWell this was an interesting video. Not quite sure why certain things were mentioned when the person knew nothing about them. Isn't that what this video was about...giving us information about the new systems. The Nintendo On reminds me of the helmets worn in the Star Wars movies. I thought the pictures of all the new gaming systems were pretty cool looking. The information would have been better coming from someone who knew something about the systems.
ReplyDeleteAs anyone who has read my past ramblings know I am not a big fan of video games but I can certainly appreciate the continual advances in the gaiming world. I'd still rather read a good book though.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting where things are headed. Its always an adventure wondering what they are going to come out with next. It is also amazing what they are thinking of. Each game system has been way more advanced than the previous. Im not a big video game person but i love playing Wii Sports.
ReplyDeleteI’m not into gaming, however, the person who created the YouTube should have done a little more research (and consulted a dictionary) about the topic they were discussing other than “I don’t know” I also found the ending comment very offensive. The helmet was pretty cool. Maybe the future of gaming will be something similar to the holodeck on Star Trek--now that would be cool!
ReplyDeleteThis was interesting. I had done a report on nintendos history before and read about their failed attemt on a virtual game , i hope this one is more sucessful. I think a virtual game would be cool.
ReplyDeleteInterresting.. The handheld Xbox looked cool.. It will be interresting to see if these come out
ReplyDeleteWell I'm not sure what exactly its going to be like but it looks way cool. Maybe it will be a virtual gaming system where we can interact nd be in the game, that would be cool.
ReplyDeletelets come with the virtual world. stick a head piece on and its like the wii except you don't need a t.v. to slam your controller into.
ReplyDeleteVirtual reality would be really cool. The ability to fully immerse yourself in a virtual world would be an experience like no other. I already thought that it would be cool if Second Life did this.
ReplyDeleteFor the portable systems, they need to find a way to fold the screen itself to make it more portable. Bigger screens are always better. Another idea would be the ability to set this down and have some manner of controller to accomodate the bigger screen. Think of that old portable PS1 from all those years back for an idea.
Looks really cool but not so much for me.I'd probably run into a wall with it! I do know alot of people really try to get into the game and this is a perfect opportunity!
ReplyDeletePretty cool stuff no doubt but the challenge is in not allowing the immense draw of these games to destroy real social interaction in our society. The graphics are compelling enough to really confuse the immature mind of a child in termsof what is and is not reality.
ReplyDeleteThe infamous Nintendo On video! Back when I was a total geek in high school I would follow up on Nintendo affairs, like new systems being released and such, and this video was leaked out to the public, everyone thinking it was from Nintendo. Turns out this is a concept video created by a fan, which is quite impressive given the level of detail and accuracy that went into creating it. There was even a Photoshoped image of Nintendo's president holding the fake device, that made people believe that it was actually being released.
ReplyDeleteThis was an interesting video. Although I don't quite understand why nintendo DS and PSP are mentioned considering they are game systems of the present, not the future. I liked the one with the eye mask and controller connected to it. Now that looks like it could be fun.
ReplyDeleteVideogames have always been a big part of my life The things people are coming up with now are absolutely mind boggling.
ReplyDeleteI only saw two things on this that were interesting, the rest are just modes of what is already out. The Nintendo On and the other spherical thing looks cool though. I am exited about the future of video games, though recently every good game (in my opinion) has been moving to the portable device (because the Japanese kids just love them so) which has been pretty upsetting, since there is only so much you can do with a DS or PSP.
ReplyDeletei'm not a video player so this doesn't appeal to me, my kids would love it
