Struggling to carry around your big bulky laptop? Then why don't you try out the new and improved super mini laptop, brought to you by a Korean company UMID. As you can see from the pictures, it's as small as a cell phone and weighs in a little over a half a pound. It comes equiped with 1.33GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, and up to 32GB of storage. There's no doubt in my mind that at some point in the future we will be done with laptops and be completley converted to the mini laptop.
That is so tiny! I feel like I would break it or drop it like I already do with my phone or IPOD.
ReplyDeleteit's too small i'd lose the first day
ReplyDeleteIt's so tiny! It's like carrying your cell phone around...which is like a mini lap top too depending on what cell phone you have.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a giant cell phone... I think this technology has already been surpassed by the cellular telephone.
ReplyDeleteI think that typing would be a difficult thing to do on that lap top. I have enough trouble with this one.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a cell phone. Typing would definitely be a challenge. I don't see this being the new hot ticket item of the year because it just seems impractical. Why do you need a mini-laptop? I agree with JReut...cell phone technology is probably more advanced that the laptop.
ReplyDeleteI thought this was a cell phone once i saw the pictures. I'm not sure if mini-laptops will be the wave of the future. I have also seen a computer made up of 5 pens that sit on your desk or can be carry with you. There is definitely something after laptops.
ReplyDeleteI sell similar versions of these, and they are referred to as netbooks (instead of notebooks). They are quite neat and run pretty well. Some of the major drawbacks are no optical drives and low storage capacity. I generally recommend these netbooks to people who are using this as a machine to travel with and just get internet access, or as a first PC for a young person (I will likely be buying one for my sister this year on her birthday). For the most part they are reasonably priced, and are among the lowest costing laptops that we carry at Best Buy. Like most technology, not all persons get the best results out of such a product, and they have to resort to GIANT laptops like the 11-13" machines that sell for $1000+.
