The theme of our blog is technology in entertainment. The first five weeks the post will be on the past, then we will move on the present, then the future. Everyone in our group had the ability to post what they want without the permission of the other group members. Each member of the group is required to post at least four elements on the blog in each time period. If a member fails to do their required posts, they will be individually penalized. This is supposed to be informative and fun!
Radio was a powerful tool in the second world war on both sides. Hitler made it law that every German citizen have a radio in their home. This was to ensure that all citizens listen to his broadcasts. On the American side the radio was used to rouse the population to action in war. Recruiting announcements would bring volunteers to the allied side. Just a historical thought.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of my first computer - purchased in 1984. It had a 20MG hard drive on it if you can believe it. Computing has come a long way since then and there's no end in sight. With that march forward comes changes effecting every aspect of life on the planet.
ReplyDeleteThis website was very interesting, i learned a lot about the governments part in the development of radio tech, but i also noticed a few other interesting points. The idea for wireless technology was originated over 100 years ago in 1879 after a heinrich hertz discovery. it sure too us a long time to complete its realization. Now a days, everything i slowly becoming wireless!
